I offer a variety of therapies including
“Reiki” (ray-key) is Japanese for ‘universal life energy’, a term used to describe a natural system to help bring about an improved sense of wellbeing and a positive feeling of spiritual renewal.
This tradition was founded by Dr Mikao Usui in the early 20th century and evolved as a result of his research, experience and dedication. It is a tradition that is open to any belief system and benefits may include deep relaxation and the promotion of a calm peaceful sense of wellbeing.
The method of receiving a Reiki treatment from a practitioner is simple. The recipient remains clothed and comfortably lies on a couch or sits on a chair. The practitioner gently places their hands non-intrusively, on or near the body using their intuition and training as a guide. There is no massage or manipulation. Reiki can be used on the person as a whole, or on specific parts of the body. It is also possible to receive Reiki at a distance.
Reiki is taught by Reiki Master/Teachers, who have trained in the tradition passed on, in person, from Master to student. Students go through a process of initiation/attunement to the Reiki energy. They are then able to treat themselves and others, not only from a personal and emotional perspective, but also as an aid to individual development and spiritual growth.

Reflexology in Wirral
Reflexology is a very simple therapy which can have amazing results. It is based on the theory that various areas of your feet known as 'reflexes', appear to have a direct relation to corresponding areas of your body.
Suitable for all ages, many people use Reflexology as a way of relaxing the mind and body and counteracting stress.
Reflexology is a gentle, holistic therapy which may encourage your body to heal itself, treating the whole person not just your prevailing symptoms.
Reflexology is the technique of applying gentle pressure to reflex areas on the feet to stimulate the body's own healing process thereby aiding your body to recover naturally, bring about a state of deep relaxation and to restore, maintain and promote good health.
The reflexes are incredibly specific and through touching them an experienced therapist may detect even the smallest imbalance in any of the systems of the body; working on these points may affect the corresponding organ or system of the body.
I will use my knowledge, experience and sensitivity to decide which reflexes need extra work and how much pressure to use on them to bring the systems back into balance and achieve optimum health.
Reflexology is now recognised as a well established, natural and effective complementary therapy which can assist alongside orthodox medicine.
The possibilities for reflexology in the future are vast, and it is a very exciting time for this wonderful therapy. I hope that one day it will be as accepted as acupuncture and respected by more of the health professionals as more of its benefits are realised, although interest is now increasing quickly....
Reiki originated in Japan in the 1920's. Mikao Usui, the founder of Reiki, evolved a system of healing he called Reiki. Usui spent the rest of his life up until his death in 1926 practicing and teaching this method of natural healing which involves the laying on of hands, a mental/emotional treatment and distant treatment. Mikao Usui authored the Goakai or precepts of Reiki which were derived from the Waka poetry of the Japanese Meiji emperor. One of Usui's students, Dr. Chujiro Hayashi, a medical doctor and retired Japanese naval officer, continued Usui sensei's work after his death and opened a Reiki clinic and school in Tokyo. A Japanese student of Dr. Hayashi, Chiyoko Yamaguchi, first learned Reiki in 1938 from Chujiro Hayashi at the age of 17. Her uncle Mr. Sugano brought Dr. Hayashi to teach his entire extended family Reiki in Ishikawa, Japan. Chiyoko was later attuned as an Usui Reiki teacher. Chiyoko Yamaguchi spent her whole life treating others using the Reiki Dr. Hayashi had taught her. Her son Tadao Yamaguchi began treating people with Reiki in 1965 at a young age. In the late 1990s, Tadao Yamaguchi and his mother started teaching the Reiki Mrs. Yamaguchi learned from Chujiro Hayashi calling it Jikiden Reiki. Tadao Yamaguchi iss committed to preserving and spreading Jikiden Reiki through the Jikiden Reiki Kenkyu Kai or Jikiden Reiki Institute in Kyoto, Japan. For a detailed account read Mr. Yamaguchii's book referenced above or consider joining a Jikiden Reiki seminar.
Crystal Healing in Wirral
Having always been interested in the beauty and power of crystals I recently qualified with the Hope College of Crystal Healing to add crystal Healing to my services. Offering you the opportunity to relax, unwind and allow the crystals to support your needs.
Crystals have been used for healing since ancient times by many different cultures and in the last twenty odd years, there has been a great revival of this art. Crystals are highly powerful and effective tools for healing as they contain a number of special properties and interact with us in many different ways.
Crystal therapy is a non-invasive, relaxing, natural and enjoyable process. Whether you believe in the physical healing properties of crystals or not, the therapy itself will offer you a chance to lie back, relax and get in touch with your body's energies so you can leave feeling refreshed, restored and de-stressed - a perfect platform for improved physical health.
Another property of crystals is the distinct orderly structure which enables them to absorb, reflect, transform, transmute, balance, direct, amplify, clear, focus etc. energies. Essentially, a crystal can adapt healing energy in any way imaginable. Since crystals and minerals make up most of the earth's crust and also reside within the human body, it can be said that, in a sense, we are all part of and living on a crystal.

Aromatherapy in Wirral, Merseyside
Aromatherapy is the use of plant essential oils for therapeutic purposes. Essential oils have been used in fragrances, flavourings and medicines for thousands of years. Each oil has its own special therapeutic properties, and can be used or applied in a variety of ways, including:
Body massage, with the oils blended in a carrier oil or cream (this is perhaps the most popular application of aromatherapy);
By adding a few drops to warm bath water (ideally diluted first);
Through steam inhalation or vaporisers;
In creams and lotions for individual use;
Essential oils, which are highly aromatic, are readily absorbed into the body via the skin and lungs, and are believed to affect the body on all levels - physically, mentally and even emotionally/spiritually. When combined with massage, which helps to soothe away muscular tension and improve circulation, an aromatherapy treatment can be either deeply relaxing or uplifting, depending on the oils and massage techniques used by the therapist.
Aromatherapy is used for a variety of reasons. Some use it to help them manage or cope with specific physical, mental or emotional problems, while others use it as means of relaxation, or to help maintain good health and a sense of general well-being.
Massage therapy involves the rubbing and kneading of soft tissues and muscles in the human body. This is to promote healing and enhance a person's health and well-being.
massage can help alleviate stress, depression and tension. It wont solve your problems but many people report that it is effective as part of a coping strategy. People have used words like "comforting", "soothing", "uplifting" and "empowering" to describe the effect they feel. The tensions we hold in our minds and emotions are often mirrored in our bodies. As the client learns to relax and enjoy the massage those tensions can melt away, both physically and mentally. This is what therapists often mean when they talk about a treatment being "holistic", i.e, it benefits both mind and body.
So whatever your reason is, take care of yourself and treat yourself now and again. When you look after yourself, it often puts you in a better position to be of benefit to others also.
Most activity is a choice
We are the ones who make our lives more complicated than they need to be. There are, of course, some things we need to do but a lot of our activity is a choice. It's fine to take things on, to feel stretched, it's also fine to turn things down and to say no when that best serves us.
