Frequently Asked Questions
Q - What happens if you come to my home?
A - For a home visit everything will depend on what therapies you are wanting. as some can be while you are sitting on a chair.
We will discuss your individual needs prior to the visit .
I have a therapy couch and a specialist recliner chair that I can bring to your home so to use these you will need to ensure space for me to prepare the area.
I would need to know about car parking and access to your home (stairs etc)
Q- Can I have essential oils instead of creams or waxes for reflexology
A- As an aromatherapist I can work with you to create a blend that could be linked with every therapy I provide including Indian head massage.
For Reiki I could create an aroma blend for a diffuse or to use and take home in an aroma stick

Q What is the investment for therapies :-
Many sessions are personalised to meet your individual needs so prices that are given are for guidelines per hour
I see the promotion and support of our health & well-being as an investment

Professional Organisations -If you are wary about visiting a complementary therapist, I recommend choosing one that belongs to a professional body.
What is a professional body?
There are various professional bodies (also known as member organisations) in existence that have taken on the role of self-regulation within the complementary and alternative therapy industry. While therapists are under no legal obligation to join a professional body, membership does mean they have met certain requirements set by their professional body and must abide by a code of ethics and complaints procedure.
The Federation of Holistic Therapists (FHT) is the largest and leading professional association for therapists in the UK and Ireland. With thousands of members offering a broad range of specialism - from sports and remedial therapies, to complementary healthcare and holistic beauty treatments - the FHT is the association of choice for professional therapists.
I am a member of the FHT.
Accreditation of its register means that the FHT has met the Professional Standards Authority’s demanding standards in terms of governance, education and training, setting standards, managing the register, providing information and dealing with complaints.’

CNHC - Complementary and Natural Healthcare Council
I am also registered with the Complementary and Natural Healthcare Council (CNHC)
CNHC was set up with government support to protect the public by providing a UK voluntary register of complementary therapists. CNHC's register has been approved as an Accredited Register by the Professional Standards Authority for Health and Social Care
‘The Accredited Registers quality mark gives extra peace of mind for anyone looking for a complementary healthcare therapist, letting them know that anyone who holds the mark is committed to high standards.’
AoR - Association of Reflexologists
The Association of Reflexologists is the foremost inspirational and independent Professional Reflexology Association in the UK since 1984, providing benefits, advice and guidance to reflexologists and working with other external bodies and advisory groups to promote the highest standards in the profession. The Association of Reflexologists is not for profit and is the only UK reflexology membership organisation that are members of both RiEN , and the Reflexology Forum and also the CNHC and has representation at the Parliamentary Group for Integrated and Complementary Healthcare (PGICH).
To find out more about the Association of Reflexologists visit the AoR website
The Reiki Council
The Reiki Council is the lead advisory body for Reiki practitioners in the UK. Through its member associations it represents the views of people giving Reiki to the public across the UK. The Reiki Council is non-profit-making organisation that sets standards and guidelines, provides information and advice. The Reiki Council was formed from the Reiki Regulatory Working Group (RRWG) in July 2008 and re-named itself as the "The Reiki Council".
The Reiki Council aims to offer a platform for all styles of Usui Reiki and its guidelines are non-style-specific.
If you are looking for a practitioner or teacher, we recommend you always look for a member of a reputable organisation and preferably one that is affiliated to the Reiki Council. For Reiki Council member organisations
